Insights

This section are articles that I have written to give you insights into different aspects of (initially) physical yoga, that will be added to over time.  I hope that you enjoy and more importantly learn, and question your understanding of physical yoga.

In the end you can only learn so much from reading. The same with watching videos or other media where you are not an actual person to who/what you are watching.  That in the end is just “monkey see, monkey do”.

To develop your yoga practice it is essential to have the feedback of a good yoga teacher who will guide you.  The teacher will show and explain to you the intricacies of postures and the internal peace that goes with good practice.  Any yoga class needs to be personal, where you are a name and a student that needs to be taught, nourished and given the skills to be self-directing for your own practice.  You then choose to come to a class for community and further learning.  Don’t be a number, or a walking $ where the class you go to keeps you dependent on them, and you never develop the attitude of what it means to be practicing as a yoga to enable you to live easier and be of good heart.
